Camarillo Spine & Nerve Institute: Your Source for Effective Back Pain Relief

Your spine plays an important role in your body, housing nerves that transmit information to and from the brain. When the spinal column or discs experience injury or other health conditions, the end result is intense pain—sometimes in other parts of the body (such as the arms and legs). To treat the underlying condition responsible for your discomfort, our healthcare specialist must first perform a complete evaluation and diagnostic assessment to identify your particular medical issue. We treat a number of common spine and disc concerns, including:

  • herniated or bulging discs
  • disc degeneration
  • spondylolisthesis
  • spinal stenosis
  • sciatica
  • arthritis
  • sprains
  • fractured vertebrae
  • scoliosis

Our treatment options include physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care and more. We can prescribe a treatment plan that will maximize recovery—so you can enjoy pain relief sooner rather than later. In addition, our staff can develop an at-home program to complement your treatment sessions. Non-Surgical Decompression
Spinal decompression uses mechanical traction to gently stretch the spine. During this procedure, you will lay on a special table while our healthcare professional controls the traction device through a computer. A session typically consists of 15 one-minute periods of decompression with a relaxation cycle in between, for a total of 30 minutes.
Neuropathy Treatment

After obtaining your personal and family health history, we get many details from you about your current neuropathy symptoms. Then an examination will be performed. These items give us a lot of information about your condition. If needed, additional testing may also be ordered to further clarify your condition. Some examples of additional tests may include lab testing, NCV/EMG test (a measure of nerve and muscle function), or evaluation of your blood vessels.

Trigger Point Injections

With trigger point injection therapy, our doctor will inject a local anesthetic into the affected area to render the trigger point inactive. This procedure takes only a few minutes, but can deliver long-term pain relief.

Nerve Block Injections

The objective of the nerve block injection is to numb the affected nerves. With this treatment, our doctor will administer an injection of a local anesthetic into either a group of nerves or specific nerve. This, in turn, will stop the nerve from conducting electrical impulses for a period of time in order to relieve your pain.
